The average age of authors inDoctor Who fandom is lower than the average age in Torchwood fandom and considerably lower than the average age in A-Team fandom, which probably explains the greater number of daughter!Sues in the former fandom and the lower number of lover!Sues.

Doctor Who fandom was heart broken after RTD dumped Rose in a parallel universe and sealed the void that connected the two universes. So, fans wrote lots of stories either ignoring the events of Doomsay or finding a work around to break through the seal.
